77 Water Street in downtown Manhattan in the Financial District has a surprise candy store setup like the wild west style. The real surprise is that it’s actually a bodega with some vintage features.

The issue has come sharply into focus in post-pandemic New York City amid widespread concern about the intersection between mental illness and growing crime in the city. 

Over 2 million rent stabilized tenants should expect an increase in the rent for tenants with leases through September 30, 2023. The increase will be 3.25% on one year lease and 5% on two year leases since the pandemic.

The United Airlines will no longer have services out of NYC’s JFK airport starting next month. This is due to their expansion of operation and were not honored by the management at the terminal. October 29 is the last day. The service will continue at the local airport, LaGuardia. United stated this is temporary and would, “continue our pursuit of a bigger and more desirable schedule for our customers and be ready to seize those opportunities if and when they surface.”

October 22 is Dog Day Parade and it's right here in NYC. The event goes live at 12pm in Tompkins Square Park, downtown Manhattan. The park is open to the public. Just dress up your dogs with Halloween costume and walk around the park. More Halloween events are set for the city.
