A NYC law set to go into effect requires Airbnb hosts prove they reside at the property

The bill requires Airbnb hosts to register with the NYC' Office of Special Enforcement, and prove that they reside at the rental location and are complying with local zoning and safety rules. Failure to comply could result in between $1,000 and $5,000 in fines.The law will take place on January 9, 2023.
