New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy proposed offering incentives to employers for establishing work-from-home and hybrid staffing policies in a bid to end the double taxation for residents who commute to New York City.

Nurses want higher pay increases to counter the past year’s inflation, and are asking hospitals to hire more nurses and healthcare workers to shore up ranks that have thinned over the past three years, largely due to the pandemic.

An online contest launched by Sunny Ng, a software engineer from Williamsburg named the Smith-Ninth Streets Station in Gowanus as the city's best subway station. Smith-Ninth Streets is above ground and the station, which serves the F and G trains, is the tallest transit station in the world. 

Say hello to Kingsley Mei, the son of Dexin and Holly Mei of Brooklyn became the city’s first New Year’s baby when he made his grand entrance at exactly midnight, city hospital officials said. NYC Health + Hospitals’ South Brooklyn marked the fourth year for making the same announcement.
